Meeting of the Board of the CIS Heads of National and Public Television and Radio Organizations took place in Cholpon-Ata

On 1 September, Cholpon-Ata (Kyrgyz Republic) hosted the regular meeting of the Board of the CIS Heads of National and Public Television and Radio Organizations in the run-up to the III World Nomad Games.

The meeting brought together Plenipotentiary Representatives of the Republic of Belarus, Republic of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Russian Federation, Republic of Tajikistan, Republic of Uzbekistan (as an observer), representatives of the Intergovernmental Television and Radio Company Mir and the CIS Executive Committee.

The participants discussed issues related to the information support for the CIS cooperation and the outcomes of the meeting of the CIS Council of Permanent Plenipotentiary Representatives of 18 May 2018, which discussed the issues of improving the information support for the CIS activities.

One of the key issues on the agenda was the discussion of the preliminary outcomes of the work to establish a joint TV show of the broadcasting organizations of the CIS countries “They say that ...”.

The Board also decided to actively participate in the broadcasting of the events of the forthcoming Year of the Book in the CIS in 2019.

Members of the Board paid a particular attention to the development of proposals for the information support of the 75^th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

The following meeting of the Board will take place in Minsk.
