Meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of State took place in Minsk

Over 20 draft documents which concern further improvement of cooperation in priority areas were considered during the meeting, reports the CIS Execom Press-Service.

The meeting focused on the issues of economic cooperation such as implementation of the CIS Agreement on Free Trade Area, the forecast on production and consumption of energy resources until 2030, building and development of the intellectual property market, digital society, cooperation in the mining and automotive industry as well as in the field of finance and economy.

Also, the meeting discussed humanitarian matters, e.g. the CIS Schedule of Priority Measures in Humanitarian Field for 2017-2018.

In the security field, the meeting focused on discussing work regulations of the Office for Coordination of Combat against Organized Crime and other Dangerous Forms of Crime in the CIS Area and the progress of implementing the Intergovernmental Policy on Reclamation of Lands Exposed to the Impact of Uranium Production, etc.

Along with the above, the meeting took a number of decisions related to building of the common air defense system, discussed budgetary matters and defined the date and venue of the next meeting.
