Minsk hosted a regular session of the Plenipotentiary Council

The meeting adopted the draft agenda for the Council of the CIS Foreign Ministers session that will take place on 8 April in Moscow.

The agenda includes the cooperation issues of the CIS countries in politics, geospatial information exchange, healthcare and cultural cooperation.

The members of the Plenipotentiary Council put forward a number of suggestions for the agenda of the Council of the CIS Heads of Government that will take place in June in Bishkek.

The Council also discussed the activity plan in the run-up to the 25th anniversary of the CIS. The plan includes numerous fora, conferences and exhibitions.

The Plenipotentiary Council approved the nomination for the Head of the CIS Observer Team at the early parliamentary elections in the Republic of Kazakhstan; this position will be assigned to Sergey Lebedev, Chairperson of the Executive Committee –CIS Executive Secretary.

The Council also approved the agenda for its regular session in March and its joint session with the Economic Policies Commission at the CIS Economic Council.
