Moscow will host the meeting of heads (chiefs of staff) of the CIS national anti-terrorist centers

On 9-10 February chiefs of staff of the CIS national anti-terrorist centers will come together to discuss Current Ways of Cooperation of Competent CIS Bodies in Combating Terrorism.

The meeting will consist of two parts. The first part will be hosted in the margins of the Forum on Security Technologies. With the support of the Russian MFA, the Forum will host the international conference Usage and Legal Frameworks of Innovative Technologies and Tools to Prevent and Stop Acts of Terrorism. The conference will bring together, inter alia, the heads of national ATCs of the Commonwealth.

On 10 February, the meeting will continue its work on a different platform to discuss the expansion of operations of international terrorist and extremist groups in the CIS and the prevention measures of competent CIS authorities, in particular, deployed on external borders.

The meeting is also expected to focus on a joint anti-terrorist exercise in May-June 2016 in Belarus and the understanding key improvements in search and trial of perpetrators of terrorism.

Some issues will be dedicated to training and upgrade of staff and officers engaged in anti-terrorist efforts.
