Ordinary meeting of the Committee on Economic Affairs at the CIS Economic Council

The meeting was led by Zina Asankozhoeva, plenipotentiary representative of the Kyrgyz Republic at the Committee on Economic Affairs. She reported on the results of the Committee's activities in 2016.

Vladimir Vorobyov, plenipotentiary representative of the Russian Federation at the Committee on Economic Affairs gave a detailed overview of the Russian chairmanship at the CIS in 2017.

A number of issues related to integration cooperation in the sphere of economy were on the agenda of the meeting, including mainstreaming of “Provisions on the Operator of the Intergovernmental Program of Innovation Cooperation of the CIS Countries until 2020”.

The participants exchanged opinions on the prospects of tailoring the tax systems of the CIS member nations to develop small businesses and discussed the activities of the CIS Advisory Council on Material Resource Management..

The members of the Committee on International Affairs also heard information on agricultural seed management in the CIS and the policies related to raising living standards of war veterans.
