Video conference “25 Years of the Commonwealth of Independent States: a Path of Loss and Progress”

Video conference “25 Years of the Commonwealth of Independent States: a Path of Loss and Progress” took place in the Sputnik multimedia press center. Moscow, Astana, Baku, Bishkek, Yerevan, Chisinau, Minsk took part in the video conference.

In a live mode, representatives of authorities, as well as experts and political scientists discussed a wide range of issues related to the history and development of the CIS.

Anatoly Khishchenko, member of the Standing Committee of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of Belarus on Foreign Affairs stated that “today the CIS is a platform for solving problematic issues”, also noting that over the years the CIS had undertaken considerable work in the field of humanitarian cooperation, energy, transport, and the economic growth.

The participants were unanimous in stating that the Commonwealth provided a sustainable response to the current challenges.
