Personal data exchange will be discussed in the CIS Executive Committee

According to the Press Office of the CIS Executive Committee, on 25-26 November the expert group will hold an additional session for discussing draft Agreement on Mutual Legal Assistance in Administering Personal Data Exchange.

The draft Agreement was mainly signed off by the experts in June; however, by now there are certain amendments that are to be discussed during the session.

The provisions of the agreement are based on respect for law and human rights and aimed at ensuring effective cooperation among states. For the purposes of the Agreement, the parties are to define the central bodies authorized to require for legal assistance.
