Anti-corruption measures have been discussed in Astana

It was attended by representatives of the 6 CIS states (the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tajikistan) as well as representatives of the CIS Executive Committee.

The participants of the session analyzed and approved the draft Concept and Agreement on anticorruption measures; another issue for the discussion was cooperation with the relevant CIS bodies.

The representatives of the host country shared the experience of the Republic of Kazakhstan in corruption fighting and discussed with the colleagues the implementation of the Council’s decisions taken on 29 January 2015.

Kairat Kozhamzharov, Chairperson of the Agency of the Republic of Kazakhstan on civil service and anticorruotion, was assigned the chairperson of the Council. Yuriy Chaika, the prosecutor General of the Russian Federation, was assigned the co-chair.

The next session of the CIS Anticorruption Council will take place in the 4th quarter of 2016 in the Russian Federation.
