Regular meeting of the Council of the CIS Permanent Plenipotentiary Representatives took place in Minsk

The meeting of the Council of the CIS Permanent Plenipotentiary Representatives at the Statutory and other Commonwealth Bodies took place at the CIS Executive Committee in Minsk.

First Deputy Minister of Justice of the Republic of Belarus Sergey Zadiran reported on the work and achievements of the Council of the CIS Ministers of Justice, established in 2005. The Permanent Plenipotentiary Representatives discussed the report, and noted the role of the Council in the development of the legal basis for the CIS integration.

The meeting also presented proposals to the draft agenda of the regular meeting of the Council of the CIS Heads of Government in Ashgabat scheduled on 31May. The proposals will be sent to the states be further refined by respective ministries and departments.

The meeting also discussed the draft agenda of the joint meeting of the Council of the CIS Permanent Plenipotentiary Representatives and the Economic Policies Commission at the CIS Economic Council scheduled on 26 March. The meeting will consider the agenda of the upcoming Council of the CIS Heads of Government, preparation for the April meeting of the Council of the CIS Foreign Ministers, and the results of the CIS sectoral cooperation bodies activities for the past year.

The next meeting of the Council of the CIS Permanent Plenipotentiary Representatives at the Statutory and other Commonwealth Bodies will be held on 16 April.
