Russian National Library celebrates its anniversary

One of the most extensive repositories of texts – Russian National Library - celebrates its 200th anniversary. Russian President Vladimir Putin sent his congradulatory message to the leadership and the staff of the Library. The Imperial Public Library became the first national collection of printed materials open for the general public for educational ends, said the Head of State. Today, it is still going strong generating innovative ideas and cherishing the cultural legacy entrusted to its custody.
