Session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe in Strasbourg

The spring session of the PA CE began its work in Strasbourg, France. On the invitation of the PA CE, Deputy Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council, Representative of Milli Mejlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan Aydin Jafarov is taking part in the Session.

In the margins of the Assembly, Aydin Jafarov met with Secretary General of the PA CE Wojciech Sawicki to discuss ways to enhance cooperation of PA CE and IPA CIS in various common areas including joint events, election monitoring, etc.

The IPA CIS delegation also met with Meritxell Mateu, Chair of the PA CE Sub-Committee on External Relations. Meritxell Mateu expressed hope on stepping up contacts between IPA CIS MPs and the PA CE and interest in attending the IPA CIS events in the Tavrichesky Palace.
