Tavricheskiy Palace hosts the international seminar Population Dynamics and Sustainable Development in XXI century

The session was opened by Chairman, IPA CIS Permanent Commission on Social Policy and Human Rights, Arif Ragimzade. He welcomed the participants of the Seminar and reaffirmed the commitment of the IPA CIS to population issues reflected in its 53 model laws related to the issue.

Alexey Sergeev Secretary General, IPA CIS Council IPA CIS and its permanent commissions make serious efforts to build legislative frameworks of member nations in social sphere, protecting human and civil rights, promoting rule of law, developing civil society institutions and various aspects of advocacies’ work.

Marta Diavolova Programme Adviser, UNFPA, Regional Office for Eastern Europe and Central Asia Nordic countries invest a lot into family and demographic policies. Building a viable strategy is only possible through common work with parliamentary organizations, businesses and researchers.

The two sessions of the seminar will feature presentations and the discussion of the model law On Protection of Reproductive Rights and Reproductive Health and further cooperation of IPA CIS and UNFPA in 2014-2015.
