Tavricheskiy palace hosts the 19th International Meeting of Communist and Workers’ Parties

The 19th International Meeting of Communist and Workers’ Parties began its work in the Tavricheskiy palace. The theme of the meeting was entitled “The 100th Anniversary of the Great October Socialist Revolution: the Ideals of the Communist Movement, Revitalizing the Struggle Against Imperialistic Wars, for Peace and Socialism.”

The meeting was attended by representatives of 188 delegations, 103 of which came from abroad. Gennady Zyuganov, the leader of the Russian Communist Party, delivered a welcome address at the opening of the session.

The meeting was also brought together members of the Russian Federation Delegation to the IPA CIS: Leonid Kalashnikov, Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Commonwealth Affairs, Eurasian Integration and Outreach to Compatriotic Communities Abroad, Yuri Afonin, First Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Committee on Natural Resources, Property and Land Relations, and Kasbek Taisaev, Member of the State Duma Committee on Commonwealth Affairs, Eurasian Integration and Outreach to Compatriotic Communities Abroad.
