The 27th meeting of the Coordination Council of Prosecutors General of the CIS Member Nations took place in St. Petersburg

The meeting of the CIS CCPG brought together representatives of the delegations of the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrghyz Republic, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan, the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Secretariat of the Coordination Council of Prosecutors General of the CIS Member Nations, the CIS Executive Committee, the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly, the CIS Anti-Terrorism Center. The CIS Interparliamentary Assembly is represented by Acting Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council Sergey Antufiev.

Prosecutor General of the Russian Federation - Chairman of the CIS CCPG Yury Chaika and Executive Secretary – Head of the CIS CCPG Secretariat Leonid Ermolaev were awarded commemorative medal for fruitful and long-term cooperation by Sergey Antufiev on behalf of Chairperson of the IPA CIS Council, Speaker of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Valentina Matvienko.

“CIS CCPG is a reliable partner in the integrated law-making process of the CIS countries. We truly value the established level of cooperation, close and prompt interaction of the working structures of the Assembly and the Coordination Council on the basis of the Agreement of 10April 2006. This legal mechanism enables active use of the powerful potential of the CIS Prosecutor's Offices in international cooperation,” noted Sergey Antufiev.

 "We are grateful to the CCPG for their active participation in the expert support for the preparation of the models of regional standards of legal regulation adopted by the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly and the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly, and especially for the development of model laws “Public Prosecution”, “Countering Corruption” , for the creation the model legislation in the sphere of countering terrorism and extremism, corruption, human trafficking, border and information security, and protecting children from information that harmful to their health and development, for their participation in the creation of advanced codified acts in the field of legal proceedings.

“The level of application of these model laws in the national legal systems of our states is exceptionally high” IPA CIS ASG stressed.
