The Commonwealth priorities in the field of humanitarian cooperation to be discussed at the meeting of the Council of Permanent Plenipotentiary Representatives of the CIS Member Nations

On 7 February 2017, the regular meeting of the Council of Permanent Plenipotentiary Representatives of the CIS Member Nations at the Statutory and other Bodies of the Commonwealth chaired by Permanent and Plenipotentiary Representative of the Russian Federation Andrei Shvedov will take place on the premises of the CIS Executive Committee.

The meeting is expected to consider the Procedure of quotes distribution, appointment and rotation of deputy chairs of the CIS Executive Committee – the CIS Executive Secretary and other officials for quota-based positions in the CIS Executive Committee.

In the course of the meeting, it is also expected to elaborate the draft agenda of the regular meeting of the Council of the CIS Foreign Ministers, taking place on 7 April in Tashkent, and approve a candidacy for the position of the Head of the CIS Observers Team at the upcoming elections of members of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia to be be held on 2 April 2017.

The permanent plenipotentiary representatives will also agree the draft agenda of the joint meeting with the Economic Policies Commission at the CIS Economic Council that will take place on 30 March 2017, as well as the draft agenda of the regular meeting of the Council of Permanent Plenipotentiary Representatives of the CIS Member Nations at the Statutory and other Bodies of the Commonwealth scheduled for 18 April 2017.
