The Economic Commission of the CIS Economic Council held its session in Moscow

According to the Press Office of the CIS Executive Committee, the session was attended by plenipotentiary representatives of the CIS Commission as well as representatives of interstate and intergovernmental bodies of the CIS. The meeting was presided by Plenipotentiary Representative of Kazakhstan Oleg Peskov.

Integration and cooperation issues were on the top of the agenda. In particular, the participants discussed draft Agreement on information exchange in emergency situations at electrical energy sites, the Convention on biodiversity, the new edition of Agreement on Cooperation in plant quarantine, the concept of nuclear security in nuclear energy sector, and long-range plan for cooperation on surveying and use of natural resources of the CIS member nations for 2016-2020.
