The regular meeting of the Council of Permanent Plenipotentiary Representatives of the CIS Member Nations took place in Minsk

The meeting was attended by Chairman, CIS Executive Committee; CIS Executive Secretary Sergey Lebedev and his deputies Viktor Guminsky and Agybay Smagulov.

Permanent Plenipotentiary Representatives discussed the results of the meeting of Council of the CIS Heads of Government held on 31 May this year in Ashgabat and implementation of the documents adopted there.

It was noted that Turkmenistan has taken all possible measures to create appropriate conditions for the summit. President of the Republic of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov met with the heads of delegations.

Council of the CIS Heads of Government constructively exchanged of views on topical issues of CIS economic cooperation and signed 10 documents. In order to facilitate the implementation of the adopted documents, it was decided to prepare and submit to the Council of permanent representatives in July 2019 a Joint Action Plan of the CIS Executive Committee, the Council of Permanent Plenipotentiary Representatives and the Economic Commission at the CIS Economic Council on realization the decisions of the Council of the CIS Heads of Government, as well as proposals made by the heads of delegations during this meeting.

Also, members of the Council of Permanent Plenipotentiary Representatives presented proposals to the draft agendas of the regular meetings of the Council of the CIS Foreign Ministers and the Council of the CIS Heads of State, planned in Ashgabat on 10-11 October.

Nazarguly Shagulyev reported on the implementation of the Concept of Turkmenistan's presidency in the CIS in 2019, and Action Plan for its implementation (first half of 2019).

In conclusion, Nazarguly Shagulyev noted that the implementation of the Concept of Turkmenistan's presidency in the CIS in 2019 and the action Plan for its implementation is carried out with the active participation of all CIS countries and the Executive Committee and other bodies of the CIS.

The next meeting of the CIS Council of Permanent Plenipotentiary Representatives to the statutory and other bodies of the Commonwealth is scheduled for 26 July.
