56th session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union of Belarus and Russia is held in Minsk

The 56th session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union of Belarus and Russia is held in Minsk.

Chairman of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union of Belarus and Russia, Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Vyacheslav Volodin opened the meeting. The meeting brought together members of the Council, Deputy Secretary of the Union State of Russia and Belarus Grigory Rapota, Deputy Chair of the Commission on Foreign Policy of the Parliamentary Assembly Leonid Kalashnikov and Deputy Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council – Plenipotentiary Representative of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus.

The meeting discussed the implementation of the Agreement for the Establishment of the Union State on Property Accounting Created oт the Union State Budgetary Resource. The parliamentarians decided to request to the Council of Ministers of the Union State to instruct the relevant ministries and departments to accelerate the work on the preparation of the necessary regulatory legal acts for the organization of accounting of Union property and complete its inventory by the end of 2019.

Amendments to the action plan of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Union of Belarus and Russia for 2020 due to celebration of the 75th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War was considered. The proposals were supported and the draft resolution was approved.
