The regulations for Minsk Network University for Theological Education are to be discussed in Minsk

The CIS Executive Committee will hold the working session of the CIS Advisory Board on Cooperation in Education. The meeting is aimed at elaborating the draft Regulations for Minsk Network University for Theological Education for CIS member nations.

According to the Press Office of the CIS Executive Committee, the draft document defines the organization and functions of the network university.

The University will become an interstate educational institution under the supervision of the CIS member states. It will be launched on the basis if the Moscow State Linguistic University.

The University is established to strengthen cooperation and international relations in the field of higher education; it is intended to work out the common concept of enhanced studying of the history of the traditional religions and to coordinate interaction between secular and religious institutions. With the help of common educational programs it will help to improve the quality of theological education in general.
