Kid patients of Tourner Institute visit the IPA CIS

Tourner Orthopedic Research Institute provides medical services to 6 thousand patients every year, among them many kids from the CIS. The IPA CIS invited the kids to take a tour of the Tavricheskiy Palace, the IPA CIS headquarters. They learned about the history of the Palace and its role in Russian parliamentarism. They also visited the current expos on the Russian State Douma and on the 71st anniversary of Lifting the Siege of Leningrad. Opening the Siege expo on 27 January, IPA CIS Council Secretary General Alexey Sergeev stressed that it is the first effort of the Assembly in its extensive agenda before the upcoming 70th Anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War, a date of utmost importance for the Commonwealth. The Council of CIS Heads of State declared 2015 the Year of Veterans.
