Tavricheskiy Palace hosts the International Conference on the End of World War II

First Deputy Chairman, State Duma Committee on the CIS Affairs, Eurasian Integration and Outreach to Compatriotic Communities Oleg Lebedev opened the Conference.

The Conference heard the welcome messages from Valentina Matvienko, Sergey Lavrov and Asaf Hadjiyev.

Besides the participants from the CIS, the Conference welcomed guest speakers from Austria, Bulgaria, Greece, Italy, Latvia, Czech Republic and Switzerland.

The Conference featured reports and statements by the CIS and international parliamentarians and experts. Inter alia, the informative presentations were made by Vice-Chairman of the Committee on Natural Resources, Energy and the Environment of Milli Mejlis of Azerbaijan Elton Mammedov and by Vice-Speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia Eduard Sharmazanov.
