Constitutional Referendum to Be Held in Kazakhstan on 5 June 2022

President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev signed the Decree on holding a republican referendum on the adoption of amendments and additions to the Constitution of the country on 5 June.

According to the head of state, the constitutional reform was aimed at a comprehensive transformation of the entire state model. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev also noted that the changes would affect one third of the articles of the Constitution.
