How IPA CIS Observers Monitored Early Parliamentary Election in Serbia

On 15 December, the IPA CIS international observers monitoring the preparation and conduct of the early parliamentary election to the National Assembly of the Republic of Serbia met with its Speaker Vladimir Orlić and Chair of the Republic Electoral Commission of the Republic of Serbia Vladimir Dimitrijević. During the meetings, the parties discussed the upcoming election.

On 17 December, the IPA CIS international observers monitored the polling stations. On the same day, they met with President of the Republic of Serbia Aleksandar Vučić in Belgrade. The parties discussed the ongoing election.

On 18 December, the IPA CIS international observers at the early parliamentary election in Serbia adopted a final statement, which stated that the preparation and conduct of the early election were held in accordance with the national electoral legislation and in compliance with international standards for democratic elections.  

The group of the IPA CIS international observers included representatives of parliaments of the Commonwealth countries, staff members and experts of the International Institute for Monitoring Democracy Development, Parliamentarianism and Suffrage Protection of Citizens of IPA CIS Member Nations.
