IPA CIS Observers Met With Leadership of Jogorku Kenesh of Kyrgyz Republic

On 27 November 2021, the IPA CIS observers at the parliamentary elections in the Kyrgyz Republic, headed by Chair of the Committee of the Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan for Defense and Security Kutbidin Burkhanov, met with the leadership of the Kyrgyz Parliament. The meeting was attended by Acting Speaker of the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic, Vice-Speaker Aida Kasymalieva.

The parties discussed the course of the election campaign, preparations for voting, the number and composition of candidates for the MPs. Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council Dmitriy Kobitskiy thanked Aida Kasymalieva for participating in the IPA CIS autumn session, and also noted the importance of the project “Children of the Commonwealth” initiated by the Jogorku Kenesh, which was being implemented with the support of the IPA CIS.
