IPA CIS Observers Met With President of Kyrgyz Republic Sooronbay Jeenbekov

President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sooronbay Jeenbekov met with the heads of international observer missions. It was attended by IPA CIS Team Coordinator Mukhtar Yerman and IPA CIS Council Secretary General Dmitriy Kobitskiy.

The IPA CIS observers drew attention to the high level of preparation and organization of the electoral campaign in Kyrgyzstan, noting the effective work of the Central Commission for Elections and Referenda of the Kyrgyz Republic. They described the elections as being in line with the national electoral legislation and international standards for the conduct of democratic elections.

The President of the Kyrgyz Republic thanked international observers for their work at the elections to the Jogorku Kenesh. He noted the important role of inter-parliamentary cooperation for the development of democracy and ensuring the electoral rights of citizens.
