IPA CIS Observers Met with Presidential Candidates and Representatives of Their Headquarters in Kyrgyz Republic

The international observers from the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly held a number of meetings with the presidential candidates of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The observers met with Klara Sooronkulova, Adakhan Madumarov, Kanybek Imanaliev, as well as the head of the headquarters of the presidential candidate Sadyr Zhaparov – Kanatbek Turgunbekov and authorized representative Aleksandr Moshchin.

In general, the candidates and members of their teams did not express any serious concerns about the electoral campaign and positively evaluated the work of the Central Commission on Elections and Referenda.

18 candidates were registered for the elections of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic. The elections will be held on 10 January 2021 together with the referendum on defining the form of government. 311 international observers from 43 countries representing 301 organizations will observe the elections. 52 observers were accredited from the IPA CIS, including MPs and representatives of the highest legislative authorities from eight Member Nations.
