Ivan Mushket held Meeting with Students of North-West Institute of Management of Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration

On 11 December, the program of the International Parliamentary School educational project continued with a meeting between Deputy Head of the IPA CIS Council Secretariat – Director of the International Institute for Monitoring the Democracy Development, Parliamentarianism and Suffrage Protection of Citizens of IPA CIS Member Nations (IPA CIS IIMDD), Doctor of Law, Professor Ivan Mushket and students of the Department of Social Technologies of the North-West Institute of Management of the Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA).

The event was opened by Head of the Department Inna Vetrenko and Head of the educational directions “Personnel Management”, “Psychology” Inga Burikova. They informed about the educational programs of the department and faculty, as well as about the research projects implemented in these areas at the university.

Ivan Mushket spoke about analytical, methodological support of the CIS missions and the IPA CIS observer groups in the Commonwealth countries and beyond by the IPA CIS IIMDD.

He reported on student and school Olympiads, youth electoral and parliamentary schools. The head of the Institute also shared information about the monographs published in the publishing series “Democracy. Elections. Parliamentarism”.

During the discussion, the director of IPA CIS IIMDD answered students’ questions about foreign interference in electoral processes and electoral security of the state, model legislation and migration policy of the CIS countries. In addition, the participants of the meeting were interested in election administration technologies in different countries, as well as the introduction of remote voting system in Russia.
