Observers Analyze Timing of Preparation and Equipment of Electoral Commissions for Presidential Elections in Uzbekistan

On 8 October 2021, the IPA CIS international observers headed by Deputy Head of the IPA CIS Council Secretariat – IPA CIS IIMDD Director Ivan Mushket visited the district electoral commission No. 14 of Tashkent and the polling station No. 24 as part of the long-term monitoring of the elections of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
Head of the district electoral commission Odil Abdurakhmanov informed the observers that the preparation for the elections was taking place in full accordance with the “Calendar Plan on Holding of the Elections of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan” adopted by the CEC of Uzbekistan on 23 July 2021.
According to the monitoring outcomes, the timeframe for the elections of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan is observed, the equipment of the district and precinct electoral commission with computers, software and information materials is almost complete.
