Preparations for Elections of President of Republic of Uzbekistan at Foreign Polling Stations Discussed in St. Petersburg

On 19 October 2021, a meeting of Deputy Head of the IPA CIS Council Secretariat – Director of the International Institute for Monitoring the Democracy Development, Parliamentarianism and Suffrage Protection of Citizens of IPA CIS Member Nations (IPA CIS IIMDD) Ivan Mushket and Consul General of the Republic of Uzbekistan Alisher Babayev took place in St. Petersburg. The meeting was held within the framework of the long-term monitoring of the elections of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The parties discussed preparations for the elections at the polling station in St. Petersburg, the formation of a voter list, as well as voter education and early voting. In addition, Ivan Mushket informed the Consul General that on the voting day the IPA CIS observers would work in Uzbekistan, as well as in other countries.
