Participants of International Conference on Election Observation Continue Their Work at Retreat Sessions in Sestroretsk

Today, the events of the international research and practice conference “Technologies of Electoral Process and Monitoring of Elections”, dedicated to the 15th anniversary of the establishment of the International Institute for Monitoring Democracy Development, Parliamentarianism and Suffrage Protection of Citizens of IPA CIS Member Nations continue in Sestroretsk.

The event brought together the CIS MPs, representatives of the election administration bodies of the CIS Member Nations, the academia, members of non-governmental organizations. In the morning, the participants laid a wreath and flowers at the Soldier monument at the Sestroretsk Memorial Cemetery, paying tribute to the memory of the defenders of Leningrad.

On the same day, a roundtable “Electronic Voting: Prospects and Challenges” will be organized within the framework of the Conference.
