Prospects of Monitoring Parliamentarism Development and Elections in CIS Discussed at Roundtable

The roundtable “Monitoring of Democracy Development, Parliamentarism and Elections in the CIS – Opportunities and Prospects” organized by the North-West Institute of Management, branch of RANEPA and the IPA CIS Council Secretariat took place online on 10 June 2020. The meeting brought together professors, research officers and students of the Academy, as well as the IPA CIS experts and staff members.
Deputy Head of the IPA CIS Council Secretariat – IIMDD IPA CIS Director, Doctor of Laws Ivan Mushket told the participants about the main areas of the IIMDD activities, as well as about the cooperation opportunities between the IPA CIS Council Secretariat and academic community.
Director of academic work management project of the NWIM RANEPA Yury Shipilov highlighted the joint activities of the IPA CIS and the Academy in the field of model law-making, and the IIMDD expert, honored scientist. Doctor of Laws, Professor Roman Romashev devoted his speech to the role of the public authorities in the electoral campaign management in the IPA CIS Member Nations.
