Sadyr Japarov Assumes Office as President of Kyrgyz Republic

On 28 January 2021, a solemn ceremony of the inauguration of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic took place. In accordance with the results of the vote Sadyr Japarov became the Head of State. He took the oath, promising to work for the good of the people.
The snap elections of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic and the referendum on defining the form of government took place on 10 January 2021. The IPA CIS Observer Team headed by Deputy Chair of the Committee of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation on Defense, Chair of the IPA CIS Permanent Commission on Defense and Security Issues Viktor Zavarzin monitored this election campaign. According to the observers, the voting was held in full compliance with the electoral legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic and the international standards for democratic elections.
