Conclusion of observers from the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly on the referendum to amend the Constitution of the Azerbaijan Republic has been published

According to results of monitoring the referendum to amend the Constitution of the Azerbaijan Republic, which had taken place on 26 September 2016, the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly observes published their Conclusion.

The observer’s team included representatives of parliaments and supreme legislative bodies of five IPA CIS member states: Republic of Belarus, Republic of Kazakhstan, Kyrghyz Republic, Russian Federation and Republic of Tajikistan, as well as representatives of the IPA CIS Council Secretariat and experts from the International Institute for Monitoring Democracy Development, Parliamentarianism and Suffrage Protection of Citizens of IPA CIS Member Nations (IPA CIS IIMDD).

The group of observers led by Coordinator Ilyas Umakhanov, Deputy Chairman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, visited polling stations in Baku and Sumgait, towns and cities of Absheron region and polling stations abroad – in Moscow and St. Petersburg.

The Conclusion of observers of the Interparliamentary Assembly of Member Nations of the Commonwealth of Independent States on the referendum to amend the Constitution of the Azerbaijan Republic held on 26 September 2016 is published on the official website.
