IPA CIS observers held a series of meetings in Baku

The members of the short-term IPA CIS mission monitoring the national referendum to amend the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan met with Valeh Elesgerov, Vice-Chairman of the Milli Mejlis of the Azerbaijan Republic, and Mazahir Panahov, Chairman of the CEC of the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Chairman of the CEC spoke on the preparations for the nationwide referendum, showed the sample ballots to voters and described cooperation between the CEC and the mass media.

The members of the IPA CIS observation mission shared on its main goals and objectives and submitted the preliminary monitoring report on the preparations for the nationwide referendum drafted by the IPA CIS IIMDD experts to the leadership of the Parliament and the CEC.
