IPA CIS observers held meetings with representatives of the political parties of the Kyrgyz Republic

On 3 October 2015 international observers held a meeting with the leaders of the Social and Democratic Party of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The representative of the party shared their view on the main vectors of development of Kyrgyzstan for the recent 5 years and elaborated on their plans in case of winning the parliamentary election.

The observers told the party representatives about the course of monitoring and their plans for the voting day, they also asked questions about the presence of national observers at the ballot stations.

The representatives of the party ‘Bir Bol’ shared with the observers the programme and the history of the party as well as political slogans and targets. According to Askarbek Shadiev, the head of the campaign headquarters, the main priorities are energy and agricultural sector.

Omurbek Tekebaev, the leader of the party ‘Ata-Meken’ also greeted the observers and told them about the main provisions of the current electoral legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic, including the limitation of 65 mandates for the winning party.

Adakhan Madumarov and Askar Salymbekov heading party ‘Butun Kyrgyzstan – Emghek’ emphasized the united ideology after emerging two parties in May 2015.
