IPA CIS observers will join monitoring the election for the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation

Chairperson of the IPA CIS Council - Speaker of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Valentina Matvienko was offered to bring in IPA CIS international observers to monitor the parliamentary election for the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation. ‘No doubt the IPA CIS will bring in its observers to monitor the election’ the IPA CIS Council Chairperson said.

According to Valentina Matvienko, the parliamentary election in September will be largely monitored by international observers from different organizations. International parliamentary and other institutions will also attend the election. ‘This is in our best interests: the more legitimate the election is, the less unproven allegations we will have’.
