Kick-off meeting of IPA CIS international observers in Chisinau

The IPA CIS Observer Team held a kick-off meeting in the capital of Moldova. Deputy IPA CIS Secretary General – Representative of Majlisi Oli of Tajikistan Ibor Rakhimov opened the meeting.
Coordinator of the Team, Vice Speaker of Majlisi namoyandagon Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan Akramsho Felaliev informed the participants about the composition of the team and its objectives during the short-term mission to observe the presidential election in Moldova.
Head of IIMDP IPA CIS Expert Group Dmitry Baryshnikov briefed the participants on the results of its work.
Deputy Head of Secretariat – Director of IIMDP IPA CIS Dmitry Gladey shared on the working procedure of the IPA CIS Observer Team adding that in the course of the short-term monitoring the mission will meet with leaders of the CEC of Moldova and the presidential candidates, as well as members of the observer teams of PA CE, OSCE PA and ODIHR.
He also confirmed that the individual routes of the observers on 30 October would cover regions of Moldova and international polling stations.
