Organizational meeting of the IPA CIS team of international observers took place in Bishkek

Deputy Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council – Plenipotentiary Representative of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia at the IPA CIS Haik Chilingaryan opened the meeting.

Eduard Sharmazanov, Coordinator of the IPA CIS Observer Team, Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia informed the participants on the composition of the team and its mandate for the short-term monitoring of preparation and holding of the referendum on the draft law “On Amendments to the Constitution of the Kyrgyz Republic”.

Dmitry Gladey, Director of the IIMDD IPA CIS, spoke on the rules of procedure of the observers team. He also mentioned that a series of meetings had been scheduled during the short-term monitoring, including with Chynybay Tursunbekov, Speaker of Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic, Nurzhan Shayldabekova, Chairman of the Central Commission for Elections and Referenda of the Kyrgyz Republic, as well as with the representatives of agitation groups.
