Presidential election is taking place in the Azerbaijan Republic

On 11 April 2018 the Presidential election commenced in the Azerbaijan Republic. The polling stations opened nation-wide at 8 AM.

Since early morning the IPA CIS international observers led by the Team Coordinator, Deputy Speaker of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Ilyas Umakhanov have been monitoring the election process at the polling stations in eight regions of Baku in accordance with the individual routes. Many national observers representing the candidates and non-governmental organizations are also onsite at the polling stations.
