The IPA CIS observers held an inception meeting in Bishkek

During the meeting Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council Alexey Sergeev shared the membership of the group and plans for the future work.

Andrey Baranov, the Director of the International Institute for Monitoring Democratic and Parliamentary Process told the participants about the electoral system of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The team is composed of 32 international observers from 7 member states of the IPA CIS (the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Republic of Moldova, the Russian Federation, and the Republic of Tajikistan). Among them there are deputies and representatives of the supreme legislative bodies, Secretary General of the IPA CIS Alexey Sergeev, experts from the International Institute for Monitoring Democratic and Parliamentary Process and the members of the Secretariat of the IPA CIS Council.

Vladimir Vityuk, the Vice-Speaker of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova, was assigned the coordinator of the team of observers from the IPA CIS.
