CIS Experts Adopt Draft Legislative Acts on Labor Protection

On 22 June, during the online meeting, the expert advisory boards approved the draft Recommendations on Assessment of Working Conditions at Workplaces and the draft Agreed CIS Requirements for Control and Oversight of Labor Protection Legislation Compliance.

The draft Recommendations and Requirements aim to improve the common policy in the field of labor protection and social security, ensure the creation of new, as well as preserving and improving of existing workplaces, ensure safety and health of employees, raise competition and quality of the workforce in the CIS.

The discussion brought together the representatives of Armenia, Belarus, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, General Confederation of Professional Unions, Belarusian National Technical University – the basic CIS organization for staff training, retraining and development in the field of performance standards – as well as the CIS Executive Committee. Secretary of the IPA CIS Permanent Commission on Social Policy and Human Rights Evgenia Vladimirova and Associate Professor of Department of Civil and Labor Law of the RANEPA Galina Elistratova, represented the IPA CIS at the meeting.
