Recommendations for Monitoring Compliance with Labor Legislation in CIS to Be Included in Model Law-Making Plan

An additional meeting of the working group on the preparation of the draft Requirements for Control (Oversight) of Compliance with Labour Legislation in the CIS Member Nations took place today via videoconferencing.

The event brought together representatives of Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, the General Confederation of Trade Unions, the CIS Executive Committee, as well as the statutory bodies of the CIS Member Nations for cooperation in the field of labor standards: the Belarusian National Technical University and the Research Institute of Labor of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Belarus.

The IPA CIS was represented at the meeting by Secretary of the IPA CIS Permanent Commission on Social Policy and Human Rights Evgenia Vladimirova. She proposed to include the draft requirements, revised in the form of recommendations, into the Long-Term Plan of Model Law-Making of the CIS for 2020-2022. The CIS representatives approved this proposal.
