Bakhtiyar Maken is elected member of the Council of the Forum of Young MPs of the IPU

The 137^th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union hosted the IPU Forum of Young MPs.

The Forum discussed youth policy issues, activities of youth-led organizations and other current issues related to youth.

First of all, the Forum discussed the candidatures for filling vacancies in the membership of the Council of the Forum. The head of the youth parliamentary delegation, member of the Majilis of the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan Bakhtiyar Maken was elected a new member of the Council.

After the elections, Bakhtiyar Maken thanked Forum participants for this honor and noted that he would seek to promote youth cooperation between the CIS Member Nations and the IPU.

Member of the Youth Parliamentary Delegation of the Russian Federation in the YIPA CIS, Chairman of the Chamber of Young Legislators of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Viktor Konopatsky also attended the Forum.
