CIS parliamentarians discussed relevant issues in the sphere of culture

Meeting of the IPA CIS Permanent Commission on Culture, Information, Tourism and Sport took place in the Reading Hall of the Tavricheskiy Palace – the IPA CIS Headquarters.

The meeting brought together representatives of the parliaments of the IPA CIS member nations (Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Russian Federation and Tajikistan), as well as observers and experts.

The agenda of the meeting included the following items: Draft Model Cultural Code for Member Nations of the CIS, Drafting the revised Model Law on the Protection of Personal Data, Draft Model Law on Digital Notaries Based on Trusted Third-Party Services, Draft Recommendations on the Use of the Toolkit and the Results of Regional Monitoring of Infocom Development of the CIS Member States, Draf Model Law on Countering the Use of Doping in Sport, Draft Model Law Sports at School, Draf Model Law Social Tourism, Draft Revised Model Law on Tourism for Kids and Teenagers, Draft Recommendations on Compliance with the Regulations for Business Practice in the Field of CIS Tourism”, Draft Recommendations on Setting Preferential Tsx-Free Retail Regimes of for Foreign Tourists and Visitors, the Draft Convention on the Preservation of the CIS Cultural Heritage.

The meeting also addressed the organizational issue: the members unanimously re-elected Deputy Chairperson of the Council of the Federation of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Committee on Science, Education and Culture Sergey Rybakov as Chairman of the Commission. Member of the Permanent Commission of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia on the European Integration Luiza Sargsyan became Deputy Chair of the Commission.
