Defense and Security Issues discussed in the Tavricheskiy Palace

The meeting of the IPA CIS PC on Defense and Security Issues took place in the Tavrichesky Palace – IPA CIS HQ.

The event was attended by MPs of the IPA CIS parliaments, developers of draft documents and experts.

The agenda of the event included 8 items.

The participants also discussed issues related to the development of IPA CIS MLs in the field of ​​security and countering new challenges and threats, the concept and program of the Conference on Countering International Terrorism, and draft Recommendations on the Implementation of the Principles of International Humanitarian Law on Countering Terrorism and Other Violent Manifestations of Extremism.

The meeting participants also considered proposals on amending the CIS Long-Term Plan of Model Law-Making for 2016–2020.
