International cooperation was discussed in the IPA CIS headquarters

Members of the IPA CIS Permanent Commission on Political Issues and International Cooperation discussed important political events in the CIS: Presidency of the Kyrgyz Republic on the CIS in 2016, outcomes of the session of the Council of the CIS Foreign Ministers of April 8 2015, outcomes of the constitutional referendum observation in Armenia (6 December 2015), Parliamentary election to the Majilis of the Republic of Kazakhstan (20-21 March 2016). The members of the Commission also focused on the upcoming constitutional referendum observation in the Republic of Tajikistan that will take place on 22 May 2016.

The Commission also discussed how to coordinate the IPA CIS parliamentary delegations in international organizations. The members of the Commission analyzed the outcomes of the 134th Assembly of the IPU that took place on 19-23 March 2016 in Lusaka, Zambia. They discussed possible participation of the IPA CIS in drafting resolutions of the Inter-Parliamentary Union.

During the session the Commission discussed its results of 2015 and regarded members’ proposals about its further activity.

On 20 May the members of the Commission will take part on the 44th Plenary Session of the IPA CIS.
