IPA CIS Permanent Commission on Legal Issues finalizes the Model Law on Asset Management and Trust

The IPA CIS Permanent Commission on Legal Issues held its meeting in the Tavricheskiy Palace, the IPA CIS Headquarters.
The meeting brought together representatives of the parliaments of the Azerbaijan Republic, the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as sponsors of draft documents and experts.
At the beginning, the participants discussed the draft ML on Asset Management and Trust, which entered the final development stage. The members approved the draft document as a whole and decided to ask the IPA CIS Council to include the relevant issue into the agenda of the regular plenary session.
Besides, the parliamentarians discussed the work on the draft MLs on Advertisement, Law of obligations, on Normative Legal Acts (revised), and on Compensation of Damages of Crime Victims.
Chair of the Committee of the Milli Mejlis of the Azerbaijan Republic on Legal Policy and State-Building Ali Guseynli was elected as Deputy Chair of the Commission.
