Meeting of the working group on preparation of the model Migration Code takes place in the Tavricheskiy Palace

The participants discussed main areas of development of the CIS national legislation in the field of migration and amended basic provisions of the model Migration Code. The participants also took into account proposals and notes from the Bureau of the International Organization for Migration in Moscow.

The event was also attended by member of the Committee of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation on Information Policy, Technologies and Communication, Deputy Chairman of the IPA CIS Permanent Commission on Social Policy and Human Rights Yury Berezutskiy, Deputy Secretary General of the IPA CIS Council – Plenipotentiary Representative of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Irina Sokolova, Chairman of the “Labor Migration” International Alliance, member of the Commission on Migration Issues of the Council at the President of the Russian Federation for Interethnic Relations Nikolai Kurdyumov, Programme Director of the “Labor Migration” International Alliance Sergei Boldyrev and Secretary of the IPA CIS Permanent Commission on Social policy and Human Rights Evgenia Vladimirova.
