Meeting of the IPA CIS Permanent Commission on Practices of State-Building and Local Government took place in the Tavricheskiy Palace

Election of the Chairman of the Commission took place in the course of the meeting. The participants decided unanimously to extend the term of office of the acting Chairman of the Commission Leonid Tsuprik, Chairperson of the Standing Commission of the House of Representatives of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus on State Building, Local Government, and Regulations Leonid Tsuprik.

The participants analyzed the drafts of the Recommendations on Improvement of the Legislation on the Status of CIS Members of Parliament, Model Electoral Code of the CIS Member Nations, Guidelines on Legal Regulation and Organization of Inter-Municipal Cooperation, and the Model Law “On Principles of Dividing Property of the State, its Entities and Municipal Districts”.

The Commission members were also presented with the drafts of the Concept of Sustainable and Safe Development for the CIS, the Legislative Basis for the Concept of Sustainable and Safe Development for the CIS, and the Recommendations on the Development Basis of Electronic Democracy Mechanisms in the CIS.
