Outcomes of the young parliamentarians activities in the Russian Federation discussed in Moscow

Within the framework of 9^th meeting of the Chamber of Young Legislators under the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation a plenary session of the Federation Council took place in Moscow. During the event, the participants discussed the outcomes of the activities of the Chamber of Young Legislators in 2018, the development of the Draft Federal Law “Youth and State Youth Policy in the Russian Federation”, and considered proposals, related to legislative initiatives.

The plenary session brought together Deputy Speaker of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Galina Karelova, First Speaker of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Valery Shumeiko, Member of the Committee of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation on Social Policy, Coordinator of the Chamber of Young Legislators under the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, YIPA CIS Coordinator Tatyana Lebedeva, as well as members of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, members of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, representatives of the federal public authorities, members of the representative and legislative bodies of the subjects of the Russian Federation. The IPA CIS was represented by the YIPA CIS Executive Secretary Margarita Safarova.

The participants discussed the action plan for the Chamber of Young Legislators for the upcoming year and noted the importance of development of international youth cooperation. The Action Plan for 2019 features a number of events to be held with the participation of the YIPA CIS.
